Sunday June 5th was the start of Ramadan, which to Muslims around the world is a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. Muslims from different countries celebrate Ramadan in different ways, but in general they are called to pray more, and refrain from sinful behavior that may negate the reward of fasting, such as false speech and fighting.
ISIS has decided to kick off this Ramadan with a different type of celebration, the burning alive of 19 young Yezidi girls. ISIS jihadists took over 3,000 Yezidi girls as sex slaves after they established control of the Sinjar region of Iraq.
For some reason many of these girls refuse to willingly partake in the rape, and as-such ISIS thinks they need to be burned alive.
Do you have any wholesome traditions you enjoy around the holidays? You know like the cutting off of hands and feet of non-believers, or taking sledgehammers to ancient structures and artifacts. Maybe you are old fashion and just enjoy beheading people with a hunting knife.
